    A Bright Future Ahead

According to recent reports from the dance community, Jeon Min-cheol has successfully passed the audition for the Marinsky Ballet and is expected to join as a soloist in February next year. This is a significant achievement, especially considering that it is quite rare for a student to skip the group dance stage and receive an offer from a world-class ballet company.

Jeon has a solid educational background, having attended Seonhwa Arts Middle School and Seonhwa Arts High School. He is currently in his third year at the Korea National University of Arts( Hanyejong), where he has been honing his craft since 2022.

    The Role of Mentorship

Kim Ki-min has played a crucial role in Jeon's journey to the Marinsky Ballet. After getting to know Jeon through Professor Kim Sun-hee and Han ye-jong, Kim Ki-min showcased Jeon's choreography video to Yuri Fateyev, the artistic director of Marinsky Ballet. Fateyev appreciated Jeon's talent and invited him to audition, which ultimately led to this incredible opportunity.

    Rising Star at Competitions

Jeon Min-cheol has already made a name for himself in the ballet community by winning the Senior Paddy category at the Youth America Grand Prix Concourse last year. He has also demonstrated his skills on various stages, including performances like "Ballet Layer" and " Life of Ballerino" at the Korean Ballet Festival.

A Story of Passion and Determination

Jeon Min-cheol first captured the public's attention in 2017 when he appeared on the SBS entertainment program " The Talent Foudation." At just 13 years old, he left a lasting impression on viewers by expressing his unwavering desire to persue dance despite his father's opposition. When asked if he would contiue dancing in junior high school, Jeon confidently replied, "Yes" even as he faced pressure to treat dance as just a hobby.

    Exitement for "La Bayadere"

In "La Bayadere", Jeon plays the role of Solor, a valiant warrior who loves the Indian maiden Nikiya. This role requires exceptional skill, especially for the pas de deux with Nikiya.

Jeon believes that Solor is the most important character in " La Bayadere", stating, " Unlike many ballets where the female dancer is central, I think every male dancer aspires to play Solor."

    A Unique Interpretation

Jeon is determined to bring his own interpretation to the role. "Dance is exressed differently depending on one's life experiences, and I believe my performance will have a unique charm that sets it apart from my seniors," he said.

As Jeon steps into the spotlight, ballet enthusiasts eagerly anticipate the fresh perspective he will bring to the stage.
