    Netflix's new show, 'Culianary Class Wars', has kicked off an unprecedented culianary competition that pits 80 underdog chefs against 20 of Korea's top star chefs. The first four episodes, released on September 17, have already generated significant buzz as the chefs battle for supremacy in this thrilling cooking showdown.

    in 'Culianary Class Wars', the underdog chefs, referred to as "black spoon" chefs, must prove their skills against the established "white spoon" chefs. The competition began with a high-stakes challenge where only 20 out of 80 aspiring chefs could advance. this unique format allows for a gripping narrative where the less-known chefs strive to showcase their talents and rise through the ranks.

     

    The first round, a decisive elimination challenge, took place in a vast kitchen space of 1,000 pyeong, where the chefs were divided into two teams og 40. Here, the intensity of the competition reached new heights as the black spoon chefs fought fiercely for their chance to compete against the  star chefs.

    Yeo Kyung-rae : A grand master of Chinese cuisine.

    On the other side, the white spoon include renowned figures such as: 

     

    Choi Hyun-seok: A leading fine dining chef.

    An Sung-jae: The only three-star Michelin chef in Korea.

    Paik Jong-won: A celebrated restaurant entrepreneur and culianary mentor.

     

    These chefs are not only competing for glory but also to uplift the struggling restaurant industry in Korea.

     

    Judging and Competition Dynamics

     

    The judging panel is comprised of culianary heavyweights. Paik Jong-won brings a broad and understading of flavors and local cuisuine, while An Sung-jae focuses on the intricacies of fine dining. Their contrasting perspectives create a dynamic judging environment that keeps contestants on their toes.

     

    In Round2, the remaining chefs faced off in head-to-head matches judged by solely on taste, aligning perfectly with the show's theme.
